ECS GF8200A (4)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Slackware Linux and has a average rating of 4

The last rating (4) has been submitted on 2009-09-27 09:04:32 by Anonymous running Slackware Linux:
For use with AMD 64/32 bit processors.
Works well with recent kernel version 2.6.29 or greater.
To make the most of built in Nvidia graphics system use of the proprietary Nvidia driver is recommended though it will work with the OSS driver as well. The on board sound may be problematic. Use a
more Linux compatible PCI/PCIe sound card. Only 1 PATA channel available for a total of 2 PATA devices. Up to 5 SATA device channels depending on mode of operation chosen in bios. Uses wider pci slot that is ok for thicker PCI boards but thinner (read not spec) pci cards may have connection problems. Has been rock
solid steady for me during the 6 months I have had it.

741GX-M (4)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Ubuntu Linux and has a average rating of 4

The last rating (4) has been submitted on 2007-06-24 10:45:52 by Anonymous running Ubuntu Linux:
The SiS integrated graphics chipset on this board perform horribly in everything OpenGL related - be prepared to buy a cheap AGP card if you get hold of this board. There is also a problem with sound stuttering in some 3D apps with the integrated sound chip and also with discrete sound cards. It is not an IRQ conflict and increasing PCI bus latency doesn't help too, so I think the chipset is just a bit buggy.

Tested on my second PC with Kubuntu Feisty.
