The only issue I have with this motherboard is the Intel HDA sound controller. There is some kind of bug with the way "line-in" and the "analog mix" are handled. Essentially, the PCM output volume has to be cranked all the way up in order to get the input volume to a useable level. There are also problems with certain recording applications in regards to input level clipping, which seems to be related to the way the main OS is handling the card.

The same Intel HDA sound controller issues (mixer, volume, recording) are present under opensuse 10.3 OS (2.6.22.13) and all other GNU/Linux disto's on this machine. Sound works under winXP!
