All worked fine with the installation (ubuntu 9.04). Sound, video, lan all ok. Please note that I have it connected on a 100Mbit switch so I haven't tested the Glan speed yet. Apart from that, all is ok.

The APIC feature doesn't work so "noapic" should be added to your kernel commandline.

I also had to specify my drive LBA geometry on the kernel commandline as BIOS and Linux didn't agree.

Testing in Ubuntu 7.04 fiesty kernel 2.6.20.15 After installation no sound : to resolve edit sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base and add this line: options snd-hda-intel model=3stack see: http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=853362 After installing driver Nvivia, graphics have realy better performance. Standbye and hibernation dont work (no restart) Testind on Suse 10.2 : no sound Except this problems this motherboard have good working with a sempron 2800+

ASRock doesn't support Linux also this motherboard works fine with UBUNTU 6.10. Attention with the ALiveNF6G-DVI I ain't got no LAN !! ASRock Support will ask you to install VISTA

Anything works ....but i can't test SATA port ( i use IDE HD :) ) and Dual Channel DDR memory technology..... My CPU is a AMD Sempron 2600+ , my video card is a Nvidia GeForce3 Ti 200 64Mb ( works ok with Nvidia driver, AGP 4X )....my system is Debian Sarge r2 + Kernel 2.6.10

The only issue I have with this mobo and Mandrake 10.0 was the driver for the ULI chipset-based LAN. I needed to recompile and fool the system to have a working driver. In the end, to have stable LAN connections I installed a 3Com card.
